matthew’s report card

last friday, matthew came home with his report card.  the grading system for kindergarten for reading proficiency and comprehending text is like this:
A - appropriate
1 - performance significantly below grade level
2 - performance below grade level most of the time
3 - performance at grade level most of the time
4 - performance above grade level
