on turning 39

Friday, June 27th, 2008

in a few days, i will be 39.  i would not have dared call attention to it except that friends have started to greet me early (apparently, some through friendster).  oh well.
how do i feel?  just the usual, i guess.  many moons ago, when i was much younger, i would have thought 39 IS ancient.  [...]

alaala

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

ang araw pag sumikat, tila sanggol pag sinilang -
tuluy-tuloy, unti-unti hangga’t lubusang humirang,
tulad ng pag-ibig na sa tugon ay uhaw,
likas na biyaya, handog ng Maykapal.

      pag-inog ng mundo’y Katotohanang mat’wid-
      hindi tumitigil at walang balakid,
      mistulang makatang puso’y namamanglaw,
      tiyak ang damdamin at pagmamahal.

The price: I’d give my soul and all!
      For dreams endure, undead.

my husband and i have been in the states for almost 5 years now.  in all of that time, i had never thought of driving a [...]
