Glorious
in the end,
life is glorious.
like shadows on the walls
picking up rhythm,
free.
or feeding robins unfazed by an eager hawk,
eyeing them greedily.
there is no room for the undignified
soul trying to break the calm.
the radiance of life lies at the moment -
the next turn, tomorrow’s worry.
when everything is done,
there is quiet delight in the privacy of thoughts
penetrated only by a trusted few
who reward me with loyalty
pure as unadulterated snow.
life is glorious,
precious,
triumphant,

The words in this poem could only be gathered and woven by someone with a glorious mind, a glorious soul and a glorious heart….it made the tiny hairs on my forearm stand in all honesty….
I just love the way you said “like shadows on the walls picking up rhythm, free”
and “loyalty pure as unadulterated snow”…
I wish too, to be told i belong to the trusted few of glorious YOU!

oh my, thank you, zen. of course, you are. the thing with human nature is that it is simple. but people complicate it. we need more ‘zens’ in life to remind us that the world will continue to turn, the sun to shine, inspite of. you are one of them.

what an inspiring poem, che! it definitely reminds me that despite my now-daily mundane routine of changing poopy diapers, walking around like a zombie on nights when i am sleep-deprived, and rocking teyla non-stop til my arms start to ache - life is STILL glorious, precious and triumphant. there are lessons to learn at every bend, and we must treasure each moment like it is our last.
you have an amazing way of reminding us, your friends, of the things in life that matter most. i truly feel honored to know you, che, and so blessed to have you as my friend. have a wonderful sunday!
